I’ve wanted to go to Japan ever since I was a little girl. This year, that dream was finally fulfilled. Cherry blossom season starts from the end of March to early April and there is only a short period where you can find the flowers in full bloom. It was always my wish of visiting the country at the height of the season and I’m thankful to say that I definitely hit the mark; as my wonderfully pastel pink photos show. For two whole weeks, I was able to immerse myself in Japanese culture and spend time relaxing on the other side of the world – a much needed escape from reality, where I could go off grid for a little and be present in my surroundings.
Winter in Tyrol
My first ever Christmas away from home was spent in a country shrouded in white. The snow covered mountainous land of Tirol, West Austria, had views made for fairy tales. What’s even more enchanting is the home I stayed in, situated in a tiny rural town where my boyfriend’s family has grown up for several generations. A place full of tradition and history, its a home filled with so much love; not only by the people that occupied it but by the detail put into the decor.
A dreamy road trip through Austria & Prague
It feels like Summer flew by in the blink of an eye. The adventures that felt like only a month ago are now just a collection of memories, captured by hazy photos. With a couple of suitcases and a car, me and my boyfriend went on our own little expedition through his home country of Austria. We started in the lush and mountainous Tirol, where he is native, and traveled all the way through to Vienna until we went North up to Berlin, where his family lives.
